iGEM (International Genetically Engineered Machine) is an international competition in synthetic biology which annually attracts hundreds of teams from across the world. The projects in the competition cover topics ranging from bioremediation and therapeutics to space exploration, and are highly interdisciplinary – they consist of experimental biology component, modelling and software development, as well as design and human practices. A quick link for more information: https://igem.org/press

TU Delft has been competing in iGEM since 2008, with the teams winning numerous awards. In 2024, iGEM will again be hosted in the Department of Biotechnology, building 58.

Key dates:

• Applications are now open until 12^th of December 2023 to join the 2024 team. CV and motivation letter are needed, explaining why you’re interesting in joining iGEM and what you can bring to the team.
• Interviews will be conducted between 9^th – 11^th of January 2024 (tentative).
• Decisions will be communicated on the week of 15^th of January 2024 (tentative).
• Week of 22^nd of January: kick-off meeting (tentative).
