The Outreach & Education team of team SPYKE is ambitious to engage in many public engagement activities to spread the word of iGEM itself and communicate with the public about the developments of synthetic biology.

Since we feel like our project tackles a very relevant problem nowadays, we are planning to get in contact with the mainstream channels within the Netherlands as well as some more biology-specific media channels, as they can reach a very large audience. And of course media channels within the university itself. We are also going to largely invest in social media (namely instagram and linkedin) to elevate the status of iGEM throughout the university.

Lastly, we are going to guide a few scholars for a few days. They will help briefly with our research and they will get acquainted with some basic techniques in synthetic biology both inside and outside the lab.
